ON/ICORS Orthoregeneration Award

A Research Award associated with 1’000 CHF will be awarded to a young investigator to acknowledge their outstanding research project accepted for presentation at the ICORS 2022 World Orthopedic Congress (poster or oral presentation).

                               Eligibility Criteria:              

    •Topic must be in the field of regenerative orthopaedics
    •Candidates must not have more than the equivalent of 10 years of active research experience (i.e., approved institutional leaves of absence excluded) beyond completion of their residency or PhD
    • Candidates must be the first-listed and presenting author on the abstract submitted for the ICORS 2022 congress. The work must clearly be that of the applicant and not that of any co-author
    • Candidates must be a member of one of the ICORS affiliated societies in good standing at the time of abstract submission

                               Process for selection:              

    • Application directly online to the ON Foundation via myON. Selection based on motivation letter
    • ICORS will share the confirmed abstracts and e-mails with the ON awards committee
    • The winner will be selected by the ON awards committee based on the innovation level and potential to improve clinical therapy in future
    • The winner will be announced during the ICORS 2022 congress

Reviewers:  The winner is to be selected by the ON awards committee in advance to the ICORS Annual Meeting and announced at the congress
Acknowledgements:   ICORS will acknowledge the ON/ICORS Orthoregeneration Award recipient on stage during the ICORS 2022 congress as well as afterwards in the ICORS communications (newsletter, social media)

The International Combined Orthopaedic Research Societies (ICORS) serves as an alliance of societies to promote basic, translational, and clinical musculoskeletal research worldwide. The Combined Meeting was launched in 1992 and has convened every three years since On October 15, 2013, at the 8th Combined Meeting of the Orthopaedic Research Societies hosted by the European Orthopaedic Research in Venice, Italy, a new alliance was formed; the International Combined Orthopaedic Research Societies. Nine organizations were selected and approved as the founding members; Australia/New Zealand ORS, British ORS, Canadian ORS, Chinese ORS, European ORS, Japanese Orthopaedic Association, Korean ORS, the Orthopaedic Research Society, and the Taiwanese ORS.
